Personal Profile
My name is Mariana Lima and I’m a 21-year-old student, studying Multimedia at ESMAD-IPP.

I’m studying Multimedia as a way to attain knowledge in the many creative fields of technology but I’ve known, ever since I was young, that animation is what I really want to pursue. I’ve always loved drawing and I’ve been doing it for as long as I can remember.
In my opinion, animation is a beautiful way of bringing art to life and telling amazing stories that couldn’t be conveyed in the same way through film.

I decided to make "home." as a way to explore the need for freedom in contrast with the longing for home, and connecting these feelings with shadow and light.
Education
2020 - 2023
ESMAD - Politécnico do Porto
Licentiate degree in Multimedia. This vastly diverse degree has given me skills in all kinds of media areas, including design, animation, both 2D and 3D, photography, videography, editing, Motion Design, and Programming (C#, HTML, CSS, Processing, and Max), among many others.
It was here that the idea and development of "home." began, has my Final Project.
2017-2020
Escola Secundária Dona Maria II
After studying Visual Arts with a Major Class in Drawing and Minors in Multimedia and Plastic Arts, my education has provided me a basic sense of visual and artistic literacy as well as drawing, coloring, and composition skills.
Being a member of the volleyball team allowed me to learn how to respect my fellow players and opponents and taught me how to play together, using our combined skills for a greater result.
My constant hard work provided me with a Merit and Honor Scholarship throughout all my basic education years.
